Position: Part-time working as a General Practitioner (GP) and overnight on-call for in-patients.

Responsibilities: I hold the responsibility to monitor the admitted patients’ recovery of the substance, enhance safe tapering-off of the medication, and manage emergent medical situations during my shifts.

Supervisors: My practice is supervised by Dr. Shahram Bakhtiari M.D., Psychiatrist, Dr. Shahrzad Nazeri M.D., and Dr. Faezeh Shahidi M.D.

Responsibilities: Visiting patients once a week and managing their medical conditions.

I also hold an online office where I manage my patients.

† Description and Responsibilities Student Committees of EDO and EDC are official organizations at my university which is responsible for representing students, consulting deans and the university president, mentoring students, enhancing learning, etc. Student Committees in IAU have a bottom-to-top hierarchical structure in which chairs of the below committees construct the above committee. I served as the founder of these committees.

Role: Part-time RA as a part of my M.D. thesis supervised by Prof. Mohammad Nasehi Ph.D. and Prof. Mohammad-Reza Zarrindast Pharm.D. Ph.D. The experimental part has been completed and the publication is currently in progress.

Role: I proposed and directed a systematic review article about the safety and efficacy of three drugs for COVID-19 patients.

Internship

Wards and duration: 17 mounth in total, including Psychiatric, Neurology, Emergency department, Internal medicine (3 months), Pediatrics (3 months), Surgery (2 months), Obstetrics and gynecology (2 months), Infectious medicine, Orthopedics, Cardiology, Public health.

Centers: Hospital System of IAUTMU, including Farhikhtegan Hospital, BooAli Hospital,
Amir-al Momenin, Lavasani (Sorkhe Hesar) Hospitals, and Ghods Clinic.

Description: I held the responsibility of admitting patients and overseeing their progress through diagnostic and therapeutic procedures during this internship. The program involved full-time day work, clinical classes with a concluding exam, outpatient settings, and seven 24-hour shifts. In constant communication with on-call attending physicians, my duties encompassed providing medical care to admitted patients and offering emergent consultations to other medical services during overnight shifts. Additionally, I ensured the presentation of overnight-admitted patients in the Morning report.

*In Iran, medical internship is only offered as a part of the M.D. program designated for training General Practitioners (G.P.).
